In the course of parliamentary hearings at the Federation Council devoted to the issue of scientific HR potential, RAS academician, doctor of technologies, professor Yuri Fedorovich Lachuga came forward with a suggestion of reinstituting the Government Prize in the field of science and technologies for the purpose of additional material support. “Here, we talk a lot about the prestige of research work. Many awards and prizes of both regional and federal levels assist to raising this prestige. The Government Prize in the field of science and technologies was established in 1994. For 23 years, this prize ensured the material support of laureates in the form of additional remuneration. However, in 2017 this prize fell out of the state support list and is now considered a non-state one. We ask to include this prize in the lit of prizes that allow for additional material remuneration for those who have made a great contribution to science and research practice, economy of industries and our country in general,” Yuri Lachuga stressed.
