В 1992 году передано первое sms-сообщение

The history of Short Message Service started in 1991 when it was decided in the wilds of tech organizations swarming around the nascent mobile communication that cell phones can not only call but also text. In December next year, Neil Papworth, a Vodafone engineer, became a pioneer of mobile messaging, as he texted “Merry Christmas” from PC to his colleague’s phone. However, it took another ten years for cellular phones to become widespread and size down to fit into a purse or a pocket. Then, message service ceased being exotic and the brief written word reached everyone.
