Doesn’t this number tell you anything? This is the Chaika, the iconic Chaika. The production of seven-seat executive luxury cars commenced on January 16, 1959. This was the era of space exploration, and the car design clearly reveals the space style. They made not that many Chaika cars – only 3,179 pcs. It is not that important to know which of them won the Grand Prix at the international exhibition in Brussels. It is important that the Chaika had a rare award for the domestic car industry. The Chaika was mainly servicing the highest Soviet echelon – the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, the Council of Ministers. The heroes of the USSR also managed to use the famous car. Besides, cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova received the Chaika of a unique white color as a gift.
