В 1946 г. в Пенсильванском университете представили самый современный компьютер ENIAC

On that day, the University of Pennsylvania demonstrated its achievement in the struggle against time having presented ENIAC, the cutting-edge computer. ENIAC is the abbreviation meaning Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer. The internal parts of this cutting-edge machine included no mechanical details at all. Transistors were invented only two years later, so the advanced computer weighed 30 tons and comprised 17,468 vacuum tubes. The process of program input took from one to two days, yet it was the most cutting-edge machine of that time.
