The decision about creating the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) was taken at an international conference in Chicago. The representatives of 52 states spent five weeks considering a huge number of issues related to the communications between aircraft and, as a result, signed the ​Convention on International Civil Aviation. Why was the ICAO created? It was created in order to secure safe development of civil aviation all over the world, to construct new airplanes and airports and to get rid of all obstacles to the development of aircraft. The holiday was established for everyone to remember and cooperate.
