The side led by Georgy Zhukov won. Don't you find it surprising? But you should. Zhukov commanded the troops that invaded the USSR from the West. In this game, the Soviet troops were led by Colonel-General Dmitry Pavlov. This victory was instructive, but no one learned from the hard-gained experience. In 1941, Pavlov served as the commander of the Western Special Military District, and with the beginning of the war – of the Western Front. In July of the same year, for his mistakes, he was removed from command and shot. It is a good thing that in real life, unlike in the game, Zhukov fought on the Soviet side.
