В 1918 г. в Москве открыли Брянский вокзал

The railway terminal built as per the project by architect Rerberg featured a high (51 m) tower, good layout and interior. The most notable thing was (and is) the plaform with roof. It is the merit of Vladimir Shukhov’s engineering genius. The glass roof over the platforms has giant dimensions – 321 m in length and 47 m in width. Well, Moscow residents and Ukrainians can recognize this architectural monument immediately. As for the rest, let us inform them that it was renamed into Kiev sky Railway Station in 1934.
