Do not believe those who claim that Morse sent world’s first telegram on January 24 with the following text: “What hath God wrought?” The idea is true – on this day Morse made an experiment on an artificial line at New York University and actually made sure that his device and code were working. However, the telegram with a phrase from the Bible was not sent at that time – it happened six years later, when the first telegraph line was commissioned.
