В 1773 г. случилось известное «Бостонское чаепитие»

The most famous tea party (along with those held in Alice in Wonderland and in Mytischy in Moscow Region). Unlike those parties described by Carrol and Perov, no one drank tea in Boston, yet a lot of tea was brewed in the Boston port waters. Moreover, the party goers were wearing costumes: the Sons of Liberty boarding the East India Company’s vessels Dartmouth, Eleanor and Beaver were dressed as Indians. Protesting against duty-free import of goods, the fighters against the British rule threw 342 boxes containing tea into the sea. The British responded, which resulted in the war for independence that the Americans won. History never taught anything to anybody; however, geography changed and a new state appeared on the world map under the name of North-American United States.
