A month later, the 8^th All-Russia Congress of Soviets approved GOELRO plan worked out with participation of 200 Russian scientists and engineers. Then the authorities approved and implemented other grandiose plans, but the Soviet power added to electrification failed to produce the expected communism. However, it does not cast doubt on technical progress in general and development of energy industry in particular being necessary.
