Everybody knows that Nobel Prize was awarded to Selma Lagerlof for her book for children Nils Holgersson’s Wonderful Journey across Sweden with Wild Geese. It is so, yet this book is not only the one for kids. In 1906, Lagerlof won the competition for creating a geography textbook for primary school. The book about Nils was to serve as this very textbook. A fantastic textbook, isn’t it?
