This event, taking into consideration its direct and distant sequences, represented by the Olympic movement of modern times, could be enough to celebrate that date. But in addition, historians of those old times decided to consider the 1^st of July the beginning of chronology. Thus, we can say that the first Olympic Games can be considered a kind of Creation of the world: as you remember, the chronology started since that moment. As Pierre de Coubertin said: “O Sport, you are Peace!”
